News2K Games shows us why NBA 2K13 is better with Kinect on Xbox 360
You've heard it before: everything is better with Kinect. That includes NBA 2K13 which will be the first title in the long-standing franchise to take advantage of the Xbox 360 Kinect.
"We wanted the Kinect to be a seamless experience," said senior producer Rob Jones, "and what more so than being able to direct your teammates and call plays, or call for substitutions without having to pull up menus."
While, we've heard this all before though — the whole "better with Kinect" saying — this is the first we're seeing of NBA 2K13's gameplay using the technology. And I have to say, it looks awesome. In the new Kinect trailer, you'll see how easy it is to call plays or make substitutions using the Kinect.
These are just the basics with the Kinect. For the more advanced players, who have knowledge of the game, you can call a specific play for a specific player and the game will find a play designed for that call.
I think more than anything, the Kinect functionality allows you to experience NBA 2K13 just like a real-life basketball game — streamlined, fast paced, and exciting.
