NewsRyan Gosling will not be in 'Logan's Run' remake
I think we all wanted Ryan Gosling to star in the Logan's Run remake. That would've been fun. Alas, EW confirmed that he is no longer attached to the remake of the sci-fi thriller. Logan's Run is a 1976 films about a dystopian future society in which all citizens are killed after they reach the age of 30. In the 1967 novel, the age was 21. Gosling is 31 years old, so EW thinks that's why he doesn't qualify. But the guy looks like he's 25 and hasn't really aged all that much since Remember the Titans.
The Logan's Run remake is rumored to have director Nicolas Winding Refn helming it, who has already worked with Gosling on Drive and Only God Forgives, which releases next year. I've also read that while Gosling has had success in movies where he's in a cast with other big stars, he's never carried a movie to enormous success as a headliner on his own. I say give him the chance. I think he's thrive in Logan's Run.
The original Logan in the 1976 film was played by Michael York. Who do you think would play a good Logan in the remake?
